Frequently Asked Questions

I am hoping that some of these answers to frequently asked questions will help you learn more about our tours, if not, please feel free to ask any questions at info@worldofquiltstravel.com, I will get back to you as soon as I can.

If you are traveling outside of your home country, you will need a passport that is valid for a full 6 months after the date of the return from your trip.
Visas are required for some countries.

We suggest booking your tour as soon as you decide to go. Because we try to keep our groups small only15.

We generally do not include international flights. People can choose their own airline and class of travel and also can use their miles for airlines. They can arrive early or depart later then the schedule of the group. Or they can also add more destinations after the group tour.

All of our accommodations are at least 4 stars or small boutique heritage hotels. While some do not offer all of the same amenities we ascertain that they provide a very clean, safe, quiet and relaxed atmosphere so you can enjoy your holiday.
We also try to be certain that the majority of our accommodations are located in the town or city centre so that it is easy for you to explore when you have some time to yourself. We also try to choose hotels that have restaurants or dining options nearby.

On land tours, we travel by deluxe comfortable and air-conditioned private coaches / vans which allow us the freedom to stop and shop with the locals and take great photos along the way. When we travel by train, whenever possible, we use the Fast Rail service and first class seats. We always include domestic flights. Sometime in the city or hill areas we use tuk- tuk/ jeeps/ small car ,taxi for easy movement .

All our tours we have continental breakfast included. Every place we try local cuisine and flavours but also continental vegetarian and non-vegetation options are there. we include few lunches and dinners and few are free for your own to discover and try.
If you have preferences for food, for example vegetarian or gluten free you just need to indicate that on your booking form and we will look after it for you. When meals other than breakfast are included in your tour beverages are usually ‘extra’s’.

No, there are no hidden costs. Once you’ve arrived, there is no local payment and your tour cost covers everything except: international flights, visa, insurance, personal expenses, meals taken outside the tour group meals, or activities that you undertake to do on your own. Everything that is indicated on the individual tour itinerary as ‘included’ is covered by your tour.

Smoking is not allowed on motor coaches. Hotels have individual policies.  We ask for the comfort of those who do not smoke, that smokers do so in an area away from the group.

Gratuities for hotel bell staff and waiters who assist you during the tour are already covered. In cities where we may have a step-on guide, gratuities can be offered directly at the time of service. However, the customary end-of-trip gratuities for our daily guides and coach drivers are not included.

All of our guides are highly knowledgeable and provide exceptional service. If you're satisfied with the service provided by our guides and drivers, offering a gratuity is a thoughtful gesture of appreciation. If you choose to give a gratuity, we recommend using the envelope provided and handing it to the guide and driver at the conclusion of the tour.
